Joe was a machine Ali could never keep him away, sadly Joe always led with his head and against Foreman it was only ever going to be a disaster. Ali brilliant as he was didn't hit hard enough to keep an all action Joe away. Styles make fights Ali won ok but he must have felt rough the next day.
2 giants of the ring and all time greats. today's sad bunch pale into nothing compared to these two.

Lol. Loved Joe’s little tap on Ali walking away. Lol. They deep down respected each other. But it’s war at the time. No time for nice. That all came later on in life. Those two gave each other the time of their lives!!! They didn’t want it to end. RIP two amazing Warriors!!🙏🙏

What Joe's corner didn't realize was that Ali was telling Angelo Dundee and Dr Bernie Pacheco that he could not answer the bell for the 15th round he was literally exhausted and could not physically walk into the center of the ring for the 15th. I do believe Joe Frazier's corner had his best interest at heart he was taking too many clean punches the entire fight. I don't know how he could endure that kind of punishment. Just think how hard George Foreman must have hit because he knocked Frazier down what five times in the first two rounds and Frazier was a man with a cinder block, or marble for a skull. I mean the man could take unbelievable amounts of punishment. I find it ironic that Ali wound up being far more damaged physically then Frazier.
