He broke Ali's jaw that night. But the goat of boxing still got up

Joe Frazier was unstoppable that night but he was never the same after that, even though their third encounter was equally brutal.

Ali the greatest of all time.
Arguably the:
Quickest hands
Best jab
Best footwork
Most evasive
Most durable
Most grit & heart
In boxing

The only man to beat Foreman by KO/TKO.
3x HW champ, 19 title defences defended thought 12 years beating 3 generation of boxers & overcoming the golden era of boxing, fought one of the toughest era of boxing wth consistent stylistic disadvantages.

When he was young, he won against Archie Moore (cross guard legend who has the most KO in boxing history 132), Henry Cooper 2x (a very menacing man who gave prime Ali the hardest fight), Floyd Patterson (who had the same trainer as Mike Tyson (Cus Dmato) & was practically Mike Tyson with not as much power but way quicker), Sonny Liston 2x (arguably the hardest hitting boxer of all time, the strongest boxer of all timed biggest hands of all time & arguably the greatest jab of all time), Karl Mildenburger (the southpaw who no one ever had an easy time with), Cleveland Williams (who Foreman said was 1/3 of the hardest hitters he’s faced as a pro along side Cooney & Lyle & all who hit harder then Frazier left hook), Earnie Terrell.

Ali would go to Jail for 3 years due to not serving in the Vietnam war & was found with a 20% decrease in his speed/movement & would only get worse & was advised to never box again.

With all of that, Ali beats Folley, Quarrey, & Bonavena (who was also seen as a great HW prospect just like Frazier), but then lost to Frazier (the very menacing boxer with a devastating left hook who was extremely durable & evasive with consistent pressure & menacing infighting tactics) for the title.
Ali would go back up the ranks beating Jimmy Ellis, Buster Mathis, Floyd Patterson, Bib Foster & Joe Burgner who were all notable opponents.
Then for the N1 contender, Ali looses to Norton (practically Frazier with not as much power (but still devastating power none the less) but more aggressiveness & IQ) which would be the fight where Ali’s jaw was broken, Ali survived & made it to a decision where he’d lose.
But then Ali beats Norton in a rematch, beats Frazier in a rematch, then becomes the first boxer to ever stop Foreman to regain the Titles.
Ali defends it against Chuck Wepner (a durable af boxer with menacing power & durability), Ron Lyle (a monstrous brawler who was extremely durable, insane power & scorching to Foreman 1/3 of the hardest hitting boxer he’s faced as a pro along side Williams & Cooney as harder hitters then Fraziers Left hook), Burgner again, Frazier in a trilogy (this was arguably the most dangerous fight where they both were close to death where Ali was vomiting mid rounds, had a broken rib & hip while Frazier was nearly fully blind & a broken nose), Jimmy Young, Ken Norton & Earnie Shavers (the hardest hitting boxer of all time according to many & Ali absorbed 300+ punches from him, won & left with insane brain damage), Then we all know what happened after that & Ali would be diagnosed with Parkinson’s not long after.

Ali if the greatest HW & PFP boxer of all time no debate.

Ali had a proclivity to keep his right low and good fighters could time how to administer their left hook. What was fascinating was that Ali was truly knocked out but suddenly awakened as soon as he hit the canvas. Both fighters had such heart. They brought the best out of each other.

The reason Ali would pull away from punches was because he couldn’t block properly
