The new Walmart $19 onn. Google TV 4K Android Box is now available.

The new Walmart onn. Google TV Android Box is replacing the Fire TV Stick (Firestick), Fire TV, and Fire TV Cube for many cord cutters. Due to it's low price and ability to customize people are flocking to this new Android Box.

I was having issues after the latest update with sound disconnecting on my Chromecast 4k with GoogleTV. I decided to buy this device to test it and see how it performed in comparison. The picture quality of the Chromecast 4k (with Dolby Vision and not just HDR10) is far superior on my 4K TV. This device is not bad at all for the price.. But I am willing to reboot my Chromecast once or twice a day to reconnect sound than use this with HDR10 only.

I will probably give this to my daughter.

UPDATE: Troy everything worked until I launched Wolf…for some reason, it doesn’t allow for any inputs once enabled - this happened on both devices I purchased, and have no idea how to hard reset the box without using the on screen settings - any thoughts?

I have a serious question for you will we ever be lucky enough to have mobdo again. None of us even realized how spoiled we were when we had mobdro and the original cinema HD.

Bought one of these boxes and went through this install vid (EXCELLENT TUTORIAL, thanks!) but when I got to the Wolf Launcher, everything got hosed. Was able to hover over apps in the Wolf Launcher app, but couldn't select, completely non-responsive, setup key no longer worked, couldn't back out to previous Home screen, and no way out of the buggy app since it was my new Home screen. Ended up having to do a hard reset on the box and start all over. Considered trying it again but since it took me 30 or 40 minutes to get to that point, just to lose everything, I decided I could live without it. All good now, running great with Tivimate.

Hi Troy, just finishing up this video as I was curious about the ONN device. I have the Chromecast with google TV 4K instead, and was wondering if this tutorial will work with that? It seems like with a few minor differences in hardware specs, they are the same device when it comes to software and overall functionality.
