Google TV App Not Available Fix & 3rd Party Launcher Setup

Google TV is currently experiencing a problem when searching for various apps.

Sorry app not available on this TV error is commonly found when searching for popular apps such as Downloader, JioPages, and many others.

This problem can be easily fixed by opening the actual Google Play Store and searching for what you want on your Google TV / Android TV device. But, Google TV no longer provides a shortcut for the Google Play Store. Google expects you to do all of your searches through the new App section in the new user interface but unfortunately it doesn't work very well.

In this video, I will show you four different ways to fix the App not available error in Google TV / Android TV operating system.

When I try to install any app through tv bro or downloaded it either says problem parsing app or apk or it shows me the install app option I select install and then it says app not installed (google tv hd)

Another good video, Troy. I’ve tried this a few times and was hoping you have an answer for me. When I install Sideload Luncher on my TiVo Stream 4K, there are two icons/apps showing for JioPages, not one. How do I remove one of them or is there some kind of bug with these apps I’m not aware of right now?

Thanks for your vid but after trying twice, I always ended to a black screen after using the sideoad launcher, launch manager. Seems to be not updated versions! Any other alternative for Google TV actual OS version ?

I followed the guide on my nVidia Shield TV 4K but when I launch Launcher Manager and then click 'enable custom launcher', I get an error saying "connection failed. Try re-enabling ADB debugging in Settings. Restart if problems persist". I've tried restarting the Shield, and re-enabling USB debugging, but I still get the error. 🤷‍♂️

Wolf Launcher and Launcher Manager screws up my Tivo 4K. It tries to switch to Wolf, but the screen goes blue for a few seconds, then goes black. The black screen cannot be undone. I’ve unplugged the power several times, and the Home Screen never loads. It remains a black screen after the Tivo animation screens disappear when it boots up. The only way to undo this I’ve seen so far is by factory resetting the Tivo.

I can't get the OTT Platinum app to function on the ONN device. It does install, but will not open when selected. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Thanks Troy, I have been trying to put the Roku channel on the Onn box, the sideloaded apk wont open, and web browser with mouse toggle will not move the tiles sideways...I havent found a workaround yet. the full playstore will not allow the instalation.
