The "Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2019" allows any veteran with a service-connected disability rating regardless of the percentage (from 0% to 100%) to gain base access and use commissaries/exchanges

I’ve used my 100% ID card when I get in boarding the plane. It’s a nice benefit to get the early priority boarding. I just show the 100% card and have never had an issue.

Wong! VA health card can also get you base access if your "service connected" . You just need to go through a security check at the pass and ID office.

Yes we do. I just got mine today. I'm 100% under TDIU P&T.

When I did it form was DD form 2765, found a near by base that could do it same day. Took my paperwork in with Medical ID and drivers license ID filled out the form took the picture. Got the laminated ID same day less than an hr best way.

Thank you for the video, and all that you do on behalf of the disabled vet community. I'm in Korea. The Army installation here will only issue a disabled vet card if the person is 100% T&P. They require the applicant bring their DD214, and the T&P letter from the VA. Then they will issue a card that says "100% Disabled American Veteran." That card authorizes the same privileges as a retiree ID card.

Your Veterans health ID card also gets u on base and commissary access.

Video forgets to mention that you also need what is called a "commissary letter" from the VARO office. That denotes one is 100% Total and Permanent or RAPIDS site will not process the application for a military ID card until one has said letter in hand.

Also, all disabled veterans can get access from 0 to 100%. If you have a VA Medical Card you go to the Welcome Center and they can register that card for a certain amount of time. The length depends on the base. Also be aware that you may have to register with each branch of service to access because the system doesn’t allow them to register for another branch. You can then use the Commissary, Class 6, and PX. They also allow you access to the Recreation ie campgrounds, rental, hotels so check it out 😊

What if its 100% but not P&T will it still say 100% or does it have to be P&T for that?

Kindly note that access has been RESTRICTED for some time in many overseas locations to AAFES and other facilities. CONUS are more available.

Can you focus on how someone can get at least 0% rating ?? I see your company is all for increasing disablity ratings but not really helping someone get a rating of 0 or 10% . The process can be very complex and we need more videos on the basis .. like starting from the first step if one has been out of the military for a long time and don't have documentation.
