This situation is a perfect example of why autocracy, with time, always fails. Democracy is facing truth and demands discipline and courage, while autocracy is living in a lie.

As someone from a Ukrainian family I have to say that surrendering wasn't even an option to the Ukrainians. All these conditions Putin had were pointless because the Ukrainians were never going to concede to any of them and this isn't just Zelensky, it's the Ukrainian people. Without all this help from the West the Russians would have taken Ukraine sure but they never would have been able to hold it because the Ukrainians were never going to stop.

As bad as this is, the conflict must not end until
Ukraine gets it's territory back, and Russia pays for the damages.
It must not be left to America and Europe to foot the bill alone to
rebuild Ukraine.
The worst possible outcome is one where Russia gets parts of Ukraine,
pays zero for the damages done and simply shrugs it's shoulders and walks away.
Better the conflict goes on and the sanctions on Russia remain until they leave
Ukraine, and help foot the bill for their damage.

This is funny, but here’s a quote, and it comes from a Japanese cartoon… “ power without perception is virtually useless, and therefore has no true value”

I’m sure Putin didn’t expect to come out of this looking like a cruel, bumbling dictator while President Zalinsky will go down in history as an international hero.

"Yes, everything's fine, sir."
"Yes, sir. I don't believe those casualty figures are correct. That's a liberal estimate. You know how it is."
"Yes, sir. We're going to win this one. Walk in the park. No problemo."
"Yes, sir! They're loving it. They're cheering for you with every step! You can't fail!"
"Yes, sir. I'm telling the truth!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Yes, sir!"

what Jack said about the Ukrainans and their love of Russia is absolutley true. The Russian are so envious of Ukrainians of what these people have accomplished over their existence.

If the war in Ukraine is Russian intelligence, I don't want to know what stupidity looks like.

Which is not surprising at all.
Pootin is conducting himself much along the same vein as trump's "I alone can fix it" philosophy, after all.
Just on a larger scale.
