Seamstress here: that was predictable. In no way is that dress meant to move enough for a stage performance. It’s meant for standing and drinking cocktails or taking pictures. For a dress that wouldn’t fall apart like that the chain would probably have to be heavy enough that it look and feel very different or possibly just very expensive, but I’m not sure that’s even possible.

I just ordered my first dress from boohoo. I was sceptical but took the risk. So far I’ve been lucky. There was nothing wrong with it. I just hope the dress holds up in public too.
