The issue with the second dress is that they're recreating it from a photo and not doing it well. The bodice should be quite a bit longer and the ruffles aren't created the same way. But unless you paid a LOT for it, it's expected. Those ruffles would take days. Days. Not to mention the amount of fabric they'd use. Tbh it wouldn't be that difficult though to make it look much more similar just by having the waist refitted. Not sure why they attached it like that.

I don’t think it’s a scam since they DID try to recreate the dresses but the second one just isn’t that good. They probably didn’t test the pattern/fabric properly

The second dress may not have been a scam. Sometimes dresses/garments have ghost stitches to keep it together in shipping, that are meant to be cut. It’s possible the bodice will drop a bit more if your dress has these threads and you cut them.

These commenters are weird. They aren’t a scam, they just couldn’t recreate the dress properly. Those ruffles arent exactly easy to do.

If you want the wave for the second dress, try using you hair iron on low setting... sometimes dresses have to be set. (Don't forget to patch test the heat)

Not the same dress but I am impressed by the amount of cartridge pleating in the skirt. That is a lot of fabric

Here’s what I would do. Take the dress and bring it to a seamstress or dress maker close to your house and have it altered. The fit is already very nice on you. What you need is some tweaks and that could be done much better with someone locally that you can talk to face to face. Over all I wouldn’t say it’s a scam because the first dress is less complicated than the second dress to make. I think they did a great job with the fit on the second one but the aesthetic needs correcting.

I don't think it's a scam you should probably leave it out tho. Seems like it got squashed in the package and is now stuck in that position. Maybe try getting it wet and leaving it out to dry?

I think “scam” might be strong to describe what happened here. They did try, it’s just not quite there. If it was a scam the first one wouldn’t have been as close as it is.
