Hey, in this video I will be reviewing the most popular free language learning apps and will be deciding which one is the best out of them all! Please keep in mind that the reviews have been made based off of my personal experience, and therefore may contain some bias.

No, man. Anki has to up its game. It serves a purpose, but it's an incredible amount of work to get a deck that's got graphics and audio. I use it for text only, but they need to work on it. Tiny Cards is actually a bit better, in my opinion because you can still make and share decks, and it switches it up more.

I don't know. I was all pro-Anki several years ago. But it just lost me after a while.

Anki's good side: you can do whatever deck you want, and this process helps a lot with the memorizing process. Down side: you need to know about the SRS mechanism and addons for fixing it, or else you gonna be buried under hundreds of cards in no time.
His considerations about the other apps are not true (the only one I don't use is Drops). He aggravates the bad side as well as the good one. And I don't think Memrise is good at all, because his SRS system is very spaced.

For Vietnamese, drops. It works on the tube . I like the repetitiveness of it.

Busuu. End of story. Unless you are advanced enough to have freeform conversations. In that case, get Tandem and just talk to native speakers. Busuu is the best because native speakers will correct your exercises via written and recorded corrections. Let me make that clear. I'm studying French. I have a couple of dozen Busuu friends in France who correct all of my exercises.
