My dream app is free to use. I don't care if it has a premium mode, I just would like it to allow me to take all the lessons

I would really like an app that teaches language the way children learn, which is by pointing at things and observing conversations. Then maybe a breakdown of what happened in your native language so you can watch it again and understand. It would be somewhat of a brute force method, but the harder you think about something the better it will stick in your mind.

27 year old American here. I had a really hard time deciding which language I wanted to focus on first. Korean, Japanese, or French. I decided on French, and I just started learning it yesterday. Wish me luck! We’ll see how it goes!

My husband had POTS. It sucked mightily. He had several other serious conditions as well, but POTS imposed the greatest limitations on him. The fact that you have used that enforced downtime so well is truly inspiring. I am trying to learn a couple of languages now, so you have a new subscriber!

My dream app would focus on structure first, then pronunciation, and then words. Everyone tried to teach me Spanish words first and it just confused me because I didn’t know how to use them. Once someone sat me down and taught me the actual grammar, I was able to learn Spanish really fast. All the apps Just have you repeat stuff, but they don’t explain the /why/ behind the sentences so I never learn anything. I’m going to try language transfer though! Thanks for the recommendation!
