How taxpayers’ money is spent should never be confidential. Every single lawsuit settlement paid by taxpayers needs to be easily searched, and have a brief description with links to actual documents related to the incident. They can censor all personal identifying information of all nongovernmental employees.

This story has been on my mind since I first saw it. Sadistic behavior is an understatement and I cannot imagine watching my husband or father endure such degrading and painful abuse by LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS especially when he (actually NO ONE) committed no crime! These lawsuits and their payouts should be PUBLIC information!!! The taxpayers deserve to know what is happening in their community and by whom!!!
