Apple's M1 chip might beat Nvidia's GTX 1650 Max-Q Gaming GPU

Since Apple ditched Imagination Technologies to design their own GPUs for their mobile A series chips, they impressed everyone with their graphics performance in gaming and benchmarks alike. In fact I was super impressed by the graphics performance of my iPhone SE's A13 chip, which just blew my mind the first time I benchmarked it. The fact that their iPhone and iPad chips are already this fast, the Mac M1 chip should have no problems having an even higher graphics performance. An even bigger point is now developers might start to take Macs and Apple's ARM chips seriously as a gaming platform and create even better looking games.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but Apple's current A series mobile chips are heavily throttled to manage power consumption due to battery and cooling constraints, which leads me to believe that an M1 chip would largely be unconstrained - especially in the Macbook pro cooling system, which could mean that using an A14 as comparison may even be slightly understated

The Apple M1 chip is looking mighty! I mean, it's the first Mac chip and will be the lowest end one. Imagine what Apple can do with a 20-50W chip in upcoming MacBooks, the performance could be insane!

Great work. Subscribed. I figured it might be near Vega Pro. Nothing impressive. Remember they will play catch up with Intel current offering on macs gpu. They will most likely match it and give up near 25% boost to keep buyers happy. They will save best for pro 16 months later

I am confused can someone one help i need a laptop for illustration work in photoshop and am planning to get the m1 macbook pro ...I had a few questions...will wacom work right away with this m1 and also what about other software like paint tool sai, Adobe suit or STEAM ????

I use a Mac forUnreal Engine development and very interested to see how the Metal graphics will perform on the M1 seeing as how they say this will show the biggest impact.

I'm worried about the no-fan marketing. Is it just metaphorical or it really has no fans? Any chip with the power of a 1650 will get hot when gaming, especially if you want to run at higher fps. For everything else, this laptop is actually good!
