As an Aussie this is horrific. The lack of care by an ex-president has for our US allies' secrets.
Smh

Edit he also had allied nations' secrets at his club
did he leak them too?
This is worrying for alot of us

I held a Top Secret security clearance for ten years when I was in the USAF. I would still be in prison today if I had done 1/100th of what Trump has done.

And yet, he still is not in jail, and allowed to run for president? This is apalling.

When Hillary Clinton called them deplorables, I disagreed with her. She was too nice, because they are WAY WORSE. Trump doesn’t belong in the White House, he belongs in the Big House.

I am just an Irish girl who lives in the US part time for business reasons. I mentioned this to my business partner who is a Trump supporter. I explained that he was telling someone at his club about the nuclear submarines, how close they could get to enemies, how many warheads they carried, etc, and she stated that her son, who was never in the military or anything to my knowledge, had all this information. That it was all public information if you knew where to look. I did do some looking around, on google and Wikipedia, but gave up quickly because I didn’t understand what I was reading. That kind of stuff is over my head. I find it hard to believe though that specifics would be available to the public. Generalities, sure, but specifics? Can anyone in the military or security services comment on this?

Trump should be locked up at the very least, but my idea of what to do with him, well, it’s not something I will state on a public forum for obvious reasons. He is a danger to America, a danger to the free world, a danger to anyone who loves liberty and justice no matter where they reside. —Saoirse, West Belfast, NI

As the Republicans put it he should be charged with treason.

Why would any country allow someone who shares sensitive information with anybody to remain free. He can't do it if he's in jail. Enough is enough.

Enough is enough. No more leniency because he’s a former president. The fact that he was a former president makes this crime even worse.

There needs to be a law enacted that a sitting president may not share any secrets about our national security period. People who were complicit need to prosecuted as well.

The worst part is the things we know about are nothing in comparison to what he’s done and we don’t know about it.

During WWII, in 1943, Rep. Andrew May bragged to reporters that the Japanese were setting their depth charges too shallow because they didn't know how deep U.S. subs could dive. VADM Charles Lockwood said the revelation caused the Japanese to adjust their depth charges, costing the Navy 10 submarines and the lives of 800 sailors. We learned a lesson then.
As a former submarine sailor, I'm outraged. Trump's conduct is beyond reprehensible..
That Trump has been so careless and so cavalier about his responsibilities should make everybody angry.. One wonders why so many service members and their families, and those on the right who purport to "support the troops" still support this dilatant.

I guess the US government doesn't think treason is that big of a deal.🤔

You have to ask what it was exactly that anyone expected when they elected a criminal narcissist. He should receive the harshest sentence for what this is and that's high treason.

If this is true not only shouldn’t he be running for President, he should be in Guantanamo bay for high treason

If only the impending court case didn't have a judge who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect Donald Trump from the justice he deserves to face.

Well if it’s true, it’s time to take away his cell phone and lock him up. Enough is enough of his BS.

He needs to be charged and held accountable.

The fact that Trump leads the GOP candidates by a wide margin is an incredible indictment of the voters that support a person that is a clear and present danger to our national security. This cult of personality can be the absolute end of our republic.
