Trump thinking he has clout with international leaders is a joke. I lived in the EU at the end of his presidency, and I can tell you, everyone I spoke with couldn't believe Trump was the President. They all thought it was a joke or just crazy he was elected president. I had no valid argument to counter them. The fact that military and police family members support him also leaves me speechless.

Ukraine doesn't intend to hold the Kursk District. The aim of this short-term invasion is to demonstrate Russian vulnerability and also to boost Ukrainian moral and resolve. It has always been absurd for NATO leaders to insist that Ukraine not attack inside Russia. Bases, infrastructure, and important state buildings inside Russia being damaged helps Ukraine demonstrate what life is like after the Russian invasion, something Russian media is not permitted to report to the Russian people.
