💲 NEED FINANCIAL ADVICE? 💲
1) Google "fee-only financial adviser" or visit www.NAPFA.org (largest association of fee-only financial advisers). NOT an affiliate link
2) The first question to ask any financial adviser is, "Are you a fiduciary to me 100% of the time". Get the answer in writing
3) Please note that some people call themselves "fee-based". This is NOT the same as fee-only. Fee-only advisers have committed to being fiduciary to you 100% of the time.
4) Personally, I would only hire an adviser who is a fiduciary to me 100% of the time. This is not a suggestion on what you should do. Just sharing my personal preference.

⚠️ Azul's "Scammer" Warning ➡ PLEASE READ! ⚠️
Be careful of scammers. In the comments section, I will NEVER ask you to contact me, offer any investment products, recommend a stock broker, or anything similar. Some scam bot commenters 'ask' for investment help, and later, other comment bots reply with "how great X idea/investment/person is" in the replies. These are scam threads. Do not fall for them.

🚨 Azul's VIDEOS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE (Disclaimer) 🚨

The decisions on how to invest, when to retire, and other financial planning topics are some of the most important financial decisions you will make in your life. I urge you to seek professional financial advice as you make this decision. Ideally, from a financial adviser, AND a CPA AND an attorney. Having the perspective of all three professions will help you make the right decision for you and your family.

This information is being presented without consideration of the investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial circumstances of any specific investor and may NOT be suitable for all investors.

This information is NOT intended to, and should NOT, form a primary basis for any investment decision that you may make. Always consult your own legal, tax, and/or investment advisor before making any investment/tax/estate/financial planning considerations or decisions.

Spoiler Alert: There are no "get rich" programs. Rather, just basic blocking & tackling and putting in time and care. Do your homework, choose wisely and (IMHO) work with experienced professionals who are fiduciary to you 100% of the time.

I’ve been diligently working, saving and contributing towards financial freedom and early retirement, but the economy so far since the pandemic has eaten away most of my portfolio, what I want to know is this: Do I keep contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets or do I look into alternative sectors.

I would rather hear "I have been a financial advisor for over 20 years" on a loop than that background music.

That music sounds like I’m in a funeral home

Hi Azul, I appreciate trying to innovate and trying new things, but the music isn't it.

Paying off my mortgage allowed me to buy several rental properties. Being debt free gives you options that most will never realize, it’s a game changer.

Why the music ? As for me, I do not watch everyone of your videos for entertainment but for the content. An improvement would be : better microphone, recording a room with more fabric and furniture and no music. It looks like the recording took place in a chinese restaurant

Hey Azul....just an FYI....at 10:10 the slide says $10, 000/MONTH instead of Year. Saving at $10k per month you'd hit you 1MM in just under 9 months. 😊

Also, I'm with you on paying the mortgage off before 50. Paid mine off at 48 (about 6 years game changer.

Anyway....thanks for the good content you put out. Lots of common sense information...always helpful.

Very timely content. I’m 53 and one payment away from paying off a 30yr mortgage 8 years early. I’ve been contributing pretty heavy to the retirement accounts, and getting ready to set them at maximum including the 50+ catch-up contributions. Wife & I were just having the discussion of the “test drive” to see where we think we’ll be comfortable.

I've been watching your channel since you had less than 10k subs and really like your stuff. But the music... you can go without it. Great content though!

I'm retiring with a $80K mortgage, it stall has 11.5 years on it at %2.238. I have the money to pay it off but its in my standard IRA, If I take it out now and pay off the house I would save that interest, but would bump require me to pay %12 in taxes so i would need to take out almost 90K to pay the 80K. I would also miss out on the opportunity cost of growth and dividends that money is earning now. So it makes sense to just pay it. If I get a windfall or my crypto explodes the mortgage will be my first priority though.

I think this video was just fine. There’s a lot of criticism here and I honestly didn’t even notice the music until I saw the comments. Also, ur microphone is just fine. Keep up the great content and thanks for all u do!

We didn't have the mortgage paid off by age 50 but it wasn't too long after that. It may not been the best move financially but the peace of mind of having the house free and clear with no worries about job loss or investment values declining was more valuable to us.

Throw a divorce in there after retirement and all your planning and goals are out the window 😡.
