VPN on a router is a good idea, but when you're building home network take this into consideration: speeds are important. So use wiring when you can also use Wi-Fi range extenders (if you have a large house or apartment that is). It's a good video here but look for guides on how to set up an efficient home network, it will save you a lot of troubles.

very helpful basic info., the vpn server may be slightly slower due to traffic, location etc.... but well worth the protection of a cloaked I.P. address, which is the whole point of a VPN. Nice video, wish more youtubers were as efficient as this guy.

when u install vpn on ur router u benefit from additional encryption the most, there's little point to choose a far away server to reroute ur traffic through, it will lower speeds too much - get a nearby one IMHO
