I bet it doesn't seem like 4 years already from your first YouTube video to becoming an internet sensation! I gotta tell ya Richard, you have become my favorite all time fishin expert to watch. I am from Southern Indiana and am 61 years old. But during my late 20's to my late 40's I made two crappie trips a year in April and October to Lake Weiss. Not only do I love the quality of the fish from the lake, but the reason I came back year after year was because I kept meeting people just like you. Southern Hospitality at it's best, always made me feel so welcome and always willing to offer advice and like i'd known them all my life. I plan to start making those trips again soon.

Richard, you are a genuine, honest, down to earth type of guy and boy does the world need more people like you! Keep up the great work, congratulations on all your success! I'll be ordering some t-shirts and a cap to help get your name and channel out there! Tight Lines my friend.

Richard, I just came across your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been watching a lot of your videos. Got to say, I love it brother. I am 60 years old and was born, raised and still live in southwest Mississippi and have fished since I was about 6 years old. My dad started me out fishing for bluegill and I have been hooked on the sport of fishing every since. I absolutely love the way you explain what and why you are doing what you do on any given day on the water. I have learned a lot just by watching your videos. My wife and I love crappie fishing just as much as you do and I watched your video on how you make your weedless jigs so I had to make up a batch for myself and will be using them for sure. Nothing worse than constantly getting hung up in brush or stumps and breaking off a jig and having to tie on another one when you are trying to catch fish. Hangups are a part of it for sure but the weedless jigs should help remedy a lot of that. Keep doing what you are doing, you have a gift for teaching even us old guys how to become better fishermen and your dedication to the sport and your appreciation and conservation of our natural resources is evident in everything you do. Wow. Where it all began. I really support your channel and been watching for a while. Was looking for choosing rod vids and found this one which seems to be your first.
Glad you started your channel. I learn so much.
I grew up fishing with my grandfather, a spirited country southern painter and preacher. You remind me of him as he always entertained with his stories and sayings. I miss him since he passed some years ago.
As I have got back into fishing more seriously with my teenage nephew and hopefully my son once he gets older, I really look to your vids as skilled tutorials and a bridge to what I didn't get to learn from my Granddad.

Richard you’re a special person brother. I don’t know if you know that. You’re a lot like my father. He’s bass fished for right at 50 years. All he does is stripper fish now on Wilson and pick wick. He’s old school and knows a lot of school knowledge like you show. I’m 35 and been fishing sense I was big enough to hold a rod and reel. I’m so blessed. And blessed to have found your channel.

I have been a subscriber for about 2 years and this is the first time I saw where it all started. Richard is a very knowledgable and down to earth guy.
