I’ve used a fanny pack for years. It carries my keys, wallet, multi tool or Swiss Army knife, hand sanitizer, etc. in one place. I take it off and put it in one place when I get home, and when I leave in the morning, I don’t have to search for that stuff individually. I’ve also ignored for those same years any comments about it being unfashionable. It’s simply too useful.

Fanny packs are suspect! But, a sling bag is a bit different. I am a backpack guy. My EDC is larger than average, I guess.

I look at it this way: I head to the gym in a backpack- I look like I’m climbing everest. I head to the gym in a a sling bag- I look like I’m carrying gym clothes. …. Also, if you are shopping, nobody gives plastic bags anymore.

I'd say they can work in warmer weather t-shirts and shorts style, in the winter just use the pockets in your coats.

I think the problem is here that it's difficult to offer fashion advice for men who may be anything from 20–45. I'm towards the higher end of this bracket and there's literally no chance I'd wear one of these bags. But someone who's in their early 20s probably can. Maybe Ashley needs to decide who her main audience is.
