Sharing my mom’s SECRET FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH BONE BROTH RECIPE finally. Sorry to keep you guys waiting - and special thanks to my mom for allowing to share her secret. She’s been making this for decades and claims its better than any collagen supplement in the market. #JELLOSKIN FAM ✨

This is a 24 hour+ process - not the easiest but all the time & sweat that goes into it makes it all the more worth it.
✨ MEAT: she mixes 2 different parts of bones for richer flavor. She always uses bone marrow (sagol) and gets 5lbs worth at a time. Mix in some beef like flank or brisket too.
✨ RINSE: soak the bones in cold water to draw out blood. Takes ~1 hour
✨ PREBOIL: Heat the bones and boil over high heat, then rinse bones. Make sure the bones have zero blood. Now you can start the official boiling process.
✨ HEAT LEVEL: Always simmer it in low heat for HOURS. Once the water evaporates and is half full, keep refilling it with water and repeat. Bubbles should be consistently bubbling on top.
✨ REMOVE FAT: Once the broth becomes milky and rich, pour in bowls and keep it fridge until the there is a layer of fat that solidifies on top. Throw that out.
✨ SERVE: Store the rest in containers and when serving, reheat and add scallions. Serve with meat + kimchi. Enjoy this collagen rich broth everyday!

I made this recipe and let me tell you, soaking the bones 3x in cold water for 30 min made the BIGGEST difference! You could literally see the blood being drawn out of the bones. Then I parboiled the bones for 5 minutes, drained and rinsed the bones, added fresh water, and boiled it low and slow for 4-5 hours. Delicious, gelatinous broth! Thank you girl

Put a little vinegar in clean water after soaking & temoving blood.
Vinegar helps release nutrients into broth.

I’m confused what do you mean soak 3 times and then 1 more hour? Can you just soak for 2 hours?
Or do you want to change the water etc?

The real nutrients start when the broth turns milky white. We do 3 batches in 3 days but the 2nd day is the best.

Where did she get those bones that big? I swear I try to find meat markets like that and they’re always non existent or they want crazy amount of money in local butcher shops :/

What to do if the water/broth reduces as you boil for that long? Mine is just left with half after 3 hours… 😢

Bring bones to a boil then reduce to simmer for 8-10 hours.
