The rack is always random, as long as the 8 is in the middle, and you have a solid and stripe at the end, the rest doesn't matter. You can have a stripe for the head ball, or solid. That what makes it a random rack.

That rack is wrong. It goes solid then stripe then repeat. Two same will be side by side but only two. Like two stripes two solids. Any pool player will tell you that.

I’m playing pool with someone who racks with two solids together and two stripes together and all I’ve even known is strips solids strips solid. So I’m confused why people do it differently. This way is bullshit!

The 1 ball always at the head will change the odds. It is a random head ball.
