Thanks for the concise explanation, and I do get all the add, commit, push, pull, merge, pull request in a project, but no one is saying how does one properly moves from say a final version 1.x of a project to version 2.x. Is forking and cloning the answer?

6:45 touch test.txt throws an error:
"'touch' is not recognized as an internal or external command"

Hi! I don't understand how to use the command prompt in windows to handle the program. Can someone help me? I get lost in minute 4:30
