Even if I had extensively used those basics, you still bring a new light to it and I learned a lot. I look forward to other git-related contents! Nicely done, Dave. My primary use of git, at least for the time being, is to keep up with my .bash_aliases file and my scripts that I want on every linux computer I set up. I am really tired of have to scp or worse yet, use a usb stick or something. Also, the advantage of using git is that if I add new items to my .bash_aliases file, it is trivial to replace the files on the other systems. Another advantage is that I can share my aliases and scripts with others when I start my own tutorial series.

I'm familiar with everything listed in this video so I would really like to see the more in-depth stuff, you are really good at explaining every topic in detail! I've never really looked to hard into Git except for the basic commands myself so maybe I'll pick up a few tricks then ;)
