This comment section proves that the Lewis Hamilton hate is so forced. Even when he chooses to be silent and isolates himself so he gives people nothing to talk about, the see it as him having an ego when they’ve never met the guy in his life to even come to that conclusion in the first place.

I think many here forget that driving F1 cars is Lewis’s profession, it’s his job. There are no rules stating you have to be friends with your competitors and for somebody as focused on the task like Lewis is, I wouldn’t expect him to be friends. He shows professional courtesy and manners where needed but past that, he keeps himself to himself and rightfully so.

Just because the rest of the field are all BFF’s, doesn’t make Lewis an outcast. Not to mention, being at the top and staying at the top is a very lonely place to be anyway, this can be said for any solo sport tbh.

Remember, when representing Mercedes and F1, his job is to race and promote the brand, nothing else.

Outside of F1, he can do what he likes, make friendships with whom he likes, support the causes he is passionate about and wear subjectively questionable clothing when and how he likes.

I think Lewis understood from the beginning he was on his own. For example his teammates home country dressing up in blackface and holding insensitive signs. Yet Alonso did nothing to try support his teammate and condone that type of hate from the fans.

he learned from his mentor niki not to make friends on the grid, also the grid are a lot younger than him so there is this gap in generations, not everyone can get along with everyone. that's why sometimes you only see him talk with checo, kimi, danny ric, and seb, the people on the same generation as him.

For all hamilton fan boys who are angered by Fernando, remember it's just a PR event and he isn't saying things much seriously and is saying more so in a joking manner. But the fact that hamilton has isolated himself from the rest of the grid is true. You can see on the pre-race track tour bus that he doesn't talk to anyone apart from his teammate bottas, or just listens to music.

Anyways it's his choice, there's no question of that.
