Autumn is my favourite time of year 😊 For me, it's a time for reading classics, longer books, horror, mysteries and rereading. I'm so excited for it, just building my tbr at the moment 🍂🎃

🍁🌩In Dutch we call autumn "herfst". I love that word because the sound reminds me of when you step on the crisp fallen leaves.
I have The Mysteries of Udolpho on my TBR as well. It sounds really good.

I really liked The Twisted Ones... Kingfisher is slowly becoming one of my new favorite authors 🤗🍁

Agatha Christie is a great pick for autumn... something about a murder mystery when it gets colder that works

I loved the twisted ones! I hope you enjoy it as well!

oh man The Masquerade series sounds amazing! Added that to the list. Nona the Ninth is on my TBR for this spooky season, probably in November. Looking forward to it.

I use both autumn and fall, autumn is closest to otoño (Spanish) so it's my prefrence but regardless of what you call it, it's my favorite reading vibe.🧡 I watched the 1930s Dracula film yesterday to get in the mood. 🧛🍂🍁

I love your TBR choices ❤

I'm in the US and call it Fall, however I love how Autumn sounds way better...

I'm new to having a Booktube channel and still need to record my first video, hopefully in the next day or so. I'm loving the community and seeing all the cozy season tbr choices.

I'm going to be doing monthly themes for my TBR. For September, my theme is "scholarly Spectacles and Midnight Mysteries." It's a combination of dark academia and circus/carnival related books.

Now I'm so intrigued by Baru. Someone once told me if I liked Gideon the Ninth, I'd probably like Baru, but never really said why. I get it now. And yes, I do want to read it even more now.

Looks like a great tbr. I need to start picking up short story collections again. I normally love them. I have yet to set any tbrs for this next month/season so I really got to get on that lol

Hi from Korea! Here we call autumn 가을(pronounced ga-eul)! 🍁 The Housekeepers sounds so cozy and fun! I'm planning to read The Mystery of Edwin Drood this fall

I read The Historian at the beginning of summer, a co-worker lent it too me. She told me it was a very creepy book, which I didn’t find true and it took me quite a while to finish it. But overall I did enjoy it. Anything vampire related I’m willing to give a try!

I've read "Nona" this summer and it was fantastic 🍁🍂

I’m not sure what I will be reading next. Maybe a fantasy as I am reading a murder mystery at the moment. Maybe Holly by Stephen King.

I'm in the US and I call it fall! I've had The Historian on my tbr for a while and never knew it was tied to Dracula!!!

I’m American and I go in between saying both fall and autumn…haha. But I think I say fall more often? Not sure haha. I live in Korea and here it’s called “가을“ which is hard to explain how to pronounce through text…but the word I can think of that sounds most like it in English(?) would be “Khal” as in Khal Drogo from GoT 😂😂😂

🍁🍂 My September TBR:

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
Signed Sealed Dead by Cynthia Murphy
The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens
A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo

Not sure all these books will be read but those are what my daughter chose for me from my TBR jar.

🍎🍄🍏🎃🤗. In the U.S. most people say Fall. I prefer to say Autumn, my favorite season and color!
