Wow. I consume a ton of true crime, but Daniel’s mother’s statement about how she looks for him in every back that resembles his…. Instant tears. My heart.

Controversial as it may be, shout out to those officers who remained undercover for so long to catch him. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to remain undercover and pretend to be a friend to someone like that, all while knowing everything you're doing is going to be picked to death in court later on. And to keep your cool while he's confessing, knowing you're so close to it being over but just have to hang on a little longer.

the saddest part of this case is hearing about how it affected his twin brother :( like the fact that a nearly 14 year old boy slept in his parents bed because he was so worried about him 💔

I'm from Brisbane Queensland, and I remember this case every day. The never leave a child with the bus service still remains... all children who haven't a pass or money to get on the bus go on for free because of Daniel Morcombe ❤

I’m in the US and I have never heard of this case until today. Daniel’s father’s statement at the trial was so powerful. You can just tell Daniel was adored by his loved ones. He seemed like such a sweet kid. How absolutely devastating 💔

Omgawd, his criminal history was horrific to listen to. 💔 This is one of those maddening cases that never would have happened had the judicial system done their job the first time+! And then for him to only get 20-23years. You cannot rehabilitate a pedophile! Period. I feel like it should be automatic life in prison or the death penalty when convicted of their first crime against a child. So so sad. He ruined so many lives.
