Only the exceptional ones will remain- those who deeply understand programming, think systemically, critically, and creatively, and who have the right "disposition".

In short- very few, because it largely comes down to DNA (like IQ, which can only be improved slightly; EQ- you either have it or you don’t; and trained EQ is like fake boobs; it might look the part, but it’s not the real thing).
Also, socialization plays a big role- people used to constant learning, who study thoroughly and strive to truly understand concepts.

Etc., etc.

The most optimistic scenario?
20% will stay in the game, but only 1–5% will earn really good.
The realistic?
1–5% will remain at all.
