you could always have your pistons fire one after the other instead of at the same time, i dont play so i dont kow how you could get that to work but im sure the controller or a timer or even a mechanical sensor rig could do it

If you’re worried about the speed of your pistons, just use timers so that they fire successively rather than at the same time.
Also love your videos

You can use a controller to time the pistons

You don't need pistons if you use bearings controlled with a controller to rotate 360 degrees and use a sensor to reverse the bearings at the end of the row then use a logic gate to control the water and seeding instead of using the speed of the pistons. you can lessen the weight of the system by putting the water containers 20 blocks away from the pumps as that is the max distance with the wireless signal, maybe put the water containers alongside the garden that way there is equal distance to the pumps.. I love the content and Vids also love the live streams as well as when Mrs. Z1 joins to get you clams., she is so good to you.

Connect the activation button through an XOR-gate (I think) to waters & planters (not pistons), so it only plants when the button is ON but not when the button is OFF (& pistons retracting).
So they only activate when the sensor & button is BOOTH on, but not when the button is off.

hey brother, use another sensor to start piston 2 and 3 so it will go slow like you want. when piston one extends put a sensor and block there so piston 2 will start and same for piston 3. BTW love the content. YOU and splitsie is all i watch on all games. you have a awesome personality and do amazing at this

Suggestion - you don't need to have 3 pistons all working at the same time. connect the pistons in a single line, but run them one at a time. It might take more controllers, and possibly sensors or sensor blocks, maybe even a logic gate, but it should keep your planters running at 1x speed. (sorry, I don't own the game quite yet). I'm thinking one sensor block to trigger water & planter, and another to trigger switching pistons.

Z, I recommend putting two AND gates on there. Put the sensor and the switch on the AND gate then there and gate to the cannons and vacuum pumps. That way the only fire on the push out and don’t fire again when you retract them since the switch will be off keeping there and gate off

Can you use logic gates to extend only one pair of pistons? Extra block sticking out the side of the piston head to initiate a sensor when each pair is fully extended, allowing the next pair to extend. Also use logic to disable the watering/planting when retracting. Or just have a second switch to manually disable it.

if you use timers logic blocks you be able to have each set of pistons go one at a time

So your farm is apparently right on top of the border of two chunks, that is why you got 2 raid timers, because you will spawn double raids. The raids spawn by scanning each chunk for crops. Both chunks which end at each side of your little farm detected enough crops to spawn a raid so you are going to get two raids. Your platform might make it easy to defend double raids but your framerate will still suffer. Since the invisible chunk border is right in the middle of your soil field, you can simply move your farm to either side of the plateau to make sure it's inside only a single chunk.

why dont you connect the switch to the sensor, so it will turned off when it goes back

Chuck the Pistons on a controller and make 3 stages for the pairs of pistons

Could just hook the pistons up to a controller and have them move at different times

If you fire the three pistons on each side sequentially (one after another) rather than all at the same time, then you will maintain the slow speed you are after.

You can use a controller to get the pistons to move one after the other just by setting the distance in consecutive boxes

you can use the ramps that you get from the warehouses to defend your crops as theyre invincible to the farmbots

Wouldn’t a piston motor work better for this? With switches to tell it when to stop moving forward and reverse? That way you wouldn’t need to worry about constantly extending then having to move things because now the rig is too far forward? I think the same could be done for some sort of lift? Piston motor and a pole for it to climb up, at least them you don’t have to worry about speed on the way up or down?

You can use controllers to control the pistons and just sequence one piston at a time
