Mykayla Skinner has always been a bully. She bullied Gabby Douglas after the Olympic Trials in 2016. Mykayla liked and retweeted tweets that photoshopped her into team pictures and talked about how Gabby shouldn’t have made the team. She did this to Gabby through the Olympic Games. Never telling her supporters to stop. Even after Gabby and her mom asked people to stop the hate. She has always been problematic and always makes mean comments about other gymnasts. She’s a mean pick me girl. This is the first time anyone at Simone’s level has dished it right back to Mykayla.

Her comments about "coaches not being able to get on athletes" is VILE when you consider that SafeSport, which protects athletes from abuse, was passed after the Larry Nassar case.

You know, the case that involved Simone, who was abused and victimized in awful, horrible ways.

My mom is absolutely obsessed with Simone Biles, as well as gymnastics in general, and she was very flabbergasted that Mykayla would even think to say this. A lot of the girls have insane level difficulty routines, so a fall is less important than the skill itself. My mom says gymnasts have been steadily improving due to the focus on balancing physical and mental health, so I can understand how Simone, someone who has both struggled through the terrible conditions and has benefited from the improved conditions (which she was no small part in creating) could feel like Mykayla’s actions are straight-up rediculous

Not only did she insult the current USA team, who have worked insanely hard, but she also insulted every other country. Rebeca Andradre is incredible and deserves so much praise but really there are so many talented gymnasts. For her to say that USA had 'no competition' because Russia wasn't there is insulting and ignorant

Mykayla has a silver on vault from 2020. It's not something to dismiss, but it is wild to hear her bullying Suni, the all-around gold medalist from the same year. All the girls on the team have more medals than her, besides Hezly, who is 16, and this was her first Olympics. What type of person do you have to be to bully a 16-year-old who earned her spot fair and square at Olympic trails?

I feel like there has been a recent uptick in people getting bullied for what they said about another person, then expecting that other person to come to their defense for the resulting bullying... What happened to taking accountability? Not that it's right to send horrible messages, but it isn't the target of your initial bullying who is at fault.

Mykayla blocked Simone…. Mykayla doesn’t deserve death threats but she also does not deserve anyone “calling off the dogs” in her favor. She just needs to distance herself from social media. Cleanse her dirty soul!
