The trick is finding some that hasn't been irradiated! Any that's come from far away, probably has been.

tip...to remove the growth inhibetor (?) just place the vegie or fruit in water, cover with water for 24 hours, after that rinse well and place it again in water for another 24 hours, rise and it ready to sprout or put it in the garden...

I plant my ginger in potting mix in large pots and bring the pots in during the winter then back outside during the spring after 2 years I usually have very large ginger to harvest in zone 5 👍

THANK YOU. Last year I took advice from somebody in California (I'm Zone 5b) and it didn't grow. Well no wonder. I have no heat mat, my house is barely 72F inside, and last year's summer was particularly cold (50s in August). I'm trying again!!!
