What was Kris Bryant doing two days after millions of Cubs fans celebrated the team’s first World Series title in 108 years? He was back at Wrigley Field working out, while the rest of Chicago was still partying.

Bryant’s first two seasons in the big leagues are truly historic. After being called up to the majors early in 2015, Bryant was the unanimous pick as the NL Rookie of the Year, hitting .275 with 26 home runs and 99 RBIs. He wasn’t finished there. In 2016, Bryant helped guide the Chicago Cubs to their first World Series appearance since 1945, was recognized as the National League’s Hank Aaron Award winner, and now adds the overall NL MVP to his trophy case.

Love Kris Bryant's character, he's the kind of person who hasn't let the expectations bring him down, he's humble, and someone that guys love being around. In other words, Kris Bryant is great example of what a franchise player is!

The Ivy on the Bricks, by Brian Francis:

There are few things in this life that ignite my soul: family, my nieces and nephews, my cousins, brothers and sisters, my wonderful and amazing parents (Leon and Kathy Francis).
But I also have another passion: baseball. A wonderful, time-honored sport. America's pasttime. I've been on this earth for 43 years, and in all that time, there has only been one team: my beloved Chicago Cubs. One team that has brought me joy and misery. Laughter, excitement, tears, and pain. You can have your Yankee Stadium, the Green Monster at Fenway Park; the Polo Grounds, that stupid apple at the old Shea Stadium. That dumb slide at Miller Park. I'd rather have the Ivy on the bricks. Wrigley Field isn't the newest ballpark, not in the best location in the Windy City, the parking sucks, and the traffic is just plain awful, but oh my, that ivy. In late March, and until May, it's just brown weeds on an outfield wall. But once May hits, and that outfield grass is greener than an Easter basket, it doesn't get any better. Whether you're a bleacher-bum, or a box-suite fan, no other experience compares to sitting in the Friendly Confines on a sunny afternoon. The crack of the bat, the sting of a fastball: amazing!!! That smell of roasted peanuts, hot dogs, and a cold beer. And that green, green ivy on that unforgiving brick wall.

WOW, This whole "He's soooo cute" shit is just irrelevant as hell lol Does his looks win us championships, Does it have anything to do with his raw talent, his powerful swing, Did his looks make him a Cubbie? NO! So maybe while Women piss and moan about men seeing them only as hot or sexy instead of for the smart, educated, talented woman they are or may be, Maybe women could stop being hypocrites and basing their like of Sports figures on "Their Looks" After all none of us are stupid, we know what really attracts you women to these sports figures who you wouldn't give the time of day to if they were a joe blow walking down the street looking exactly the same! You like him for his fame and his money so stop bullshittin! lol Anyway, Thank you Kris for your 39 Regular Season Homers and for your magnificent "Full House" night against the Reds and everything else that you accomplished last year all the way through the playoffs and to The Title, The Ring, The Trophy, The Glory! I have every last beautiful second of 2016's season saved to show my kids when they grow into cubbie fans :) I for one was incredibly sad to see Rossy and Dex leave, I think they were very instrumental in our overall success, I still say Theo should have stretched his bargain with Rossy to include game 7's bomb that saved the game for us! But I'm hoping Rossy left a strong veteran impression! That combined with the experience the entire team gained from a winning post season, Hopefully Jay can fill Fowler's shoes out there in center and as far as Chappy goes well, We all knew he was a temporary bonus lol. Just one thing buddy, Please don't let no crumb bum from a crap team get more homers than you this year lmao. 1907-1908, ... 2016-2017!!! :) #LETSGOCUBBIES!!!
