I'm pretty sure the Scat pack was an automatic which is the best option for this car. It's faster than the stick and more responsive than the competitors automatics. I've driven one and love it. If I could turn back time. I'd get the challenger scar pack automatic. But the gt500 is the faster car between the two if driven correctly (only available in manual so requires skilled driver to drive it well).

0:09 No burnout?...Really?? Lol I got to hand it to the Mustang driver for not doing a burnout. I'm sure he didn't want to embarrass himself by totaling his car or running over someone if his car were to go side ways.

This is not a nightmare. Yes you are awake. Dodge is actually making these cars faster. They need big engines and better transmissions to do it but they are doing it.

I knew that the scat was going to win. Cars are strong on a dig with all that torque ( with proper tires to hook up). I own a mustang gt, and still impressed with the scats!

That must be the same driver in the GT500 as in the other video where a Scat Pack destroyed him. I guess the best drivers buy Mopar.

I don't get all the hate when racing. Maybe if you guys stopped racing on the street like kids and went to the track you would have a bit more respect for each other. If I lose I give the other guy props and try and find out more about his car. Fuck all this Dodge Ford Chevy hate, it's fucking lame guys... I drive a new mustang and I got mad respect for the challengers and Camaros. Each car is sick in their own right. Now that being said, I do think that GT500 could have put up a better fight, slick run by the Challenger though.

Guys before 2015 the srt8 was the highest trim with a 6.4 392 hemi. When the hellcat came out they changed it to R/t 6.4 392 scatpack and saved the srt8 badge for the hellcat. No up-badging just what it was called. I have a 2013 plum crazy srt8. Essentially the same as a scat pack.

SRT and Powered by SRT Bee badges are popular on Scats. Same engine, bigger brakes and tunable suspension is the main difference. Scat is lighter by 200lbs. (Suspension)
