The GT500 driver was smart to have done that slow roll out in 2nd gear. 1st gear in the GT500 is a spin trap. The GT-R would have been out front more if they had started from a dig.

The GTR has a dual clutch transmission you fool, and has better aerodynamics... For the price of a GTR you can upgrade the GT500 to over 1000Hp...

The GT500 of this year (and the next) made 662 hp. The 5.4 had its cylinder liners -bored out- removed, and instead had some kind of special plasma coating sprayed along the walls...which allowed the displacement to go from 5.4, up to 5.8 liters.
It WAS, for a few months, the most powerful regular production engine ever made- until the Hellcat came along and changed everything.
