My two cents: if I am going to wear a watch in this day and age, it will be mechanical. If it is mechanical, I want to show off the movement. Thus, I love skeleton watches.

I never thought of skeleton watches looking cheap or tacky. I always felt like they were cool because I could see the inner workings and gears of the watch.

I like skeleton watches but it has to be said, a lot of them look seriously cheap and tacky, even pateks are hit and miss.

I really like the hamilton jazzmaster open heart, I have one with a steel case and a graphite-ish dial and a brown ostrich leather strap and I wore it almost every day since I got it last year. It’s my first real watch and I got it as a confirmation (religious event) gift from my parents. It’s what really got me into watches and I enjoy that the inner workings are somewhat visible, since I really admire the engineering behind watch movements, even a simple three-hander. All in all a great watch even to wear everyday (as a student), but the leather has developed a lot of patina.

I generally do not like skeletal watches, however Hamilton has a special place in my heart, Good Going swatch group. Keep up the great work, Teller of time. you have a great channel. I cant believe that you have 65000 subscribed now days. when I fouund this channel you were at 3000.

The 42mm versions do not have the 12 o clock cut off. Has the H10 movement though

Have the blue one 42mm, many people comment on it. It's really nice daily wear in office.

I’m not a fan of skeleton or open heart watches, but I love a display case back, kind of like the wind blowing up a lady’s skirt when you turn your watch over 😁

A Hamilton under a macro lens is full of surprises. Amazing detail for not a lot of money compared to other more expensive watches.

Great video, I have never bought a Skeleton or Open Heart because I like to be able to read the time without distraction. I like the Hamilton though, just not enough to plunk down the required $$.

I like skeleton watches because they're one of the benefits (there are few) for buying a mechanical watch as opposed to a quartz one.

Here 4 years late, skeletal backs are super cool but I find skeletal dials confusing but when done modestly it can be pulled off

I don't know, J-Dawg. I think if you want a "skeleton", you either do open heart or full skeleton. The Hamilton is too asymmetrical for my taste. But, it's a good video of the watch. Looks nice!

I don't particularly like skeleton or open heart watches. It's a distraction for me. A see through back is fine, if you want to see the inner workings move. Just my opinion..
