According to the store training videos, one is supposed to be trained but judging by some of these comments, floor mangers are not doing this. If not trained correctly, this can be dangerous and have much product damage.

Also make sure you push the jack as far in to the pallet as possible! This will give you a more stable load and you are less likely to damage the pallet too.

also after you’re done pumping it up put the lever back in the middle position

Another safety point is when pulling a heavy pallet make sure you are not standing on anything slippery or your feet will go right out from under you like that one time when i landed on my butt straight from a standing position.
