That's the first and only video I found so far about this topic! Thanks for sharing Dan and as we say in my IT community: "sharing is caring".

Also used the foot powder trick. Was hitting toward the heel, notice I wasn't keeping the width with left arm....I was breaking the left elbow a bit more then I thought.

Used the foot powder trick to check my driver impact yesterday. Turned out I was hitting a bit toward the toe because I was simply not lined up on the alignment dot on the top of the clubhead. Well, DUH, that was a quick fix! Use what the manufacturer gives you about where the hot-spot actually. On a TaylorMade SLDR, it's apparently a bit towards the heel.

Hi Dan,
thank you for these tutorials on the driver, i have been orking on staying in my posture to maintain the secondary axis tilt and have noticed that while i can achieve a nice right hip on the backswing, my left hip is more often than not to low at impact, can you a drill to help with this. I have felt that a slight squat into the transition seems to help but am not to sure why..

cheers fella

Hey Dan, big fan! Could you do a swing analysis of Lydia Ko or Ariya Jutanugarn? I think their swings are very interesting and am wondering how they match up to your rotational golf swing. Jutanugarn is especially amazing, not using a driver and still averaging 267 off the tee with a 2 iron!

03:57 ..."standing up" thru impact is not a bad thing... it is useful to engage ground force reaction ...."bending up from the torso" is the fault that will cause impact near the bottom of the clubface IMHO . ...but maybe it's just my perception of the word "stand" ...implies legs ...I'm pretty sure you agree the fault is created by losing the lateral side bend ..you know your stuff

So I'm doing all of those things from one shot to the next....what's the solution!? :)

I have a buddy who has EVERY swing fault imaginable - every swing is different, he'll chicken wing one, he goat humps the next, reverse pivots, spins over his left leg on one then all arms and flip at it the next. He uses the foot spray on the first drive and ALWAYS dead centres it, with his irons and wedges I've seen him blade maybe 2 balls and less than a dozen fat shots in the 3 years I've been playing with him regularly. Its impossible to watch him and believe that off centre strikes are anything other than a failing in your hand-eye coordination. Its definitely not technique because he has none but he has played golf since he was a kid along with every other stick and ball sport you can name. Proper form and technique definitely helps the less coordinated like myself by making it more consistent but its ultimately up to your reptile brain to make the micro adjustments necessary to connect perfectly. ...ball flight on the other hand I believe 100% in technique - he never knows whether it will fade or draw.
