I loved the part when Anakin and Dooku were fighting and Dooku used the force to throw sand at Anakin. I guess Palpatine told him that this was Anakin's only weakness and Dooku took full advantage of it

My favorite bit is Rex's conversation with Asoka the first time he meets her. I love how it is mirrored by their last conversation in Rebels.

Is no one going to talk about how Obi Wan Kenobi was grinning like crazy when Anakin and Ahsoka were about leave to destroy the shield generator?
My theory is that Obi Wan never wanted another Padawan. He brokered one for Anakin

I honestly feel like this shouldn't have been a movie. It'd be better suited for a small arc in the show instead. I still enjoyed it for the most part though.

I remember how the appearance of Ahsoka all those years ago made many fans angry. There was this big shitsorm going on for the next 3 seasons I think. Most people argued that she was too childlish, that Anakin shouldn't have the padawan (they also agreed that Obi-Wan should be her master), that the cartoon as a whole was targeted to children, and how the TCW messed up the timeline. Back then the Legends were the only estabilished lore and I feel that many fans were more connected and fanatic about the previous lore than the current one.

What I find ironic, though is that when the last few seasons aired, and especially after the new canon was announced, most of those people love TCW more than, say, new movies. :P

I wonder how much of an influence Ashoka's trial had on Palpatine's ability to manipulate Anakin to turn away from the Jedi

I was a late comer to Clone Wars having only watched all of it a couple years ago. I went in knowing a lot of folks didn't like Ahsoka, and after I'd seen this movie I didn't really understand why. I thought her introduction was fine, and grew to really like her more as the series went on.

That reminds me, Christopher Lee & Samuel L. Jackson both reprise there roles in this movie! Another bit of fun trivia for ya! :D

In memory of Count Dooku’s final vocal performance courtesy of the legendary, wonderful, wise and wonderful Christopher Lee.

Ahsoka's theme makes me tear up EVERY time. Hearing it in rebels hits me like a train. So good.

Because of stuff like Ziro's late appearance you can really tell that this 'movie' is just 4 episodes edited together

In the season 1 epsidoes in which R2 is lost. The opening battle plays the techno like music similar to the Teth cliff battle.

"I've got that uncle."
So it is possible that at some point Alex uncle takes over Star Wars Explained and we will see some guy with feathers on his head and weird tattoos on his face uploading videos on this channel?

For real, Rotta creating a bakery called “Punky’s Muffins” sounds exactly like the kind of easter egg that the Clone Wars would sneak in

You can see Rotta in the episode where the Chairman of Pantoran's daughters are kidnapped

Honestly, I’ve never considered this a movie. As a movie, it’s only 5 or 6 outta 10. But as a TV special/premiere, it’s awesome. It shouldn’t have gone into theaters but it’s still cool. If you watch this as a TV special instead of a movie, it’s amazing.

Also I think that the only reason Ziro the Hutt is in this is just to give Padme something to do

The movie will always have a special place in my heart; it was my son's entry point into Star Wars & we saw it at the theater countless times (it was a reduced price kid's movie for months!) It was the start of something brilliant too. The Clone Wars series was the prequel movies I had been dreaming about for years.
