Setting up the perfect Windows Installation | Faster, Lighter, and Functional

In this video, I go over setting up the perfect windows 10 installation. This isn't like other YouTube videos as I give practical advice on how to speed up your Windows 10!

More Tips:
- Do NOT disable Windows Firewall unless you are sharing files/programs on a protected network. If unsure, leave it enabled.
- Disable Superfetch and BITS Service
- Disable Windows Defender Startup Scans
- If you don't already have an SSD replacing your hard drive with one will drastically speed up your computer.

Excellent steps -- I rebuilt mine from factory setting, got everything up to date, which took awhile & half, and then I followed your steps exactly and wow it feels like those steps cut 80% of the cost out of my system. The debloater & index removal seemed to have the biggest impact but really the whole package of changes is what leads in the end to a much more responsive system. Thanks!

To be able to search a file, install "Everything", it is amazingly fast, doesn't bloat your system and is also free.

This video is so great, many thanks. I experimented a bit when I cleaned up my laptop, including added more RAM, switched to SSD, made a clean Windows install - this guide including the debloater script was the thing that made the most difference in terms of speed.

Hi Chris thanks for this video! I used this video and the one you did on setting up a fresh install of Windows 10 for my upgrade to my Asus 502VMZ laptop. I replaced the 128Gb sata M.2 with a Samsung 500 Gb 970 Evo Plus NVMe and the 1TB HDD with a 1TB 860 EVO V-NAND SSD. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro followed all the steps in your fresh install video ran the debloating script and I am amazed at the results! I have a 3 second boot time now! Everything is fast and snappy. Thank you! I also used your videos for migrating to Linux about a year ago and I'm glad I did. Your videos were a great help with that also. Once again Thanks! Your a computer tech god!

Wow just turning off Background Apps has dropped my processes from 45% to just 3%.
Done most of the others recommendations from your previous tutorials. Now my Atom Tablet has a new lease on life.
