NOTE: Good speakers or headphones are required to hear the noise. There is a strange humming noise while driving at random times. In this video the noise starts right at 60mph when on the accelerator and stops at 55mph when off the accelerator coasting.

humming noise. Mine was doing the exact same thing. It was the plastic piece on the very front part of the bumper where you attach the license plate too. It sounds just like a wheel bearing but it’s not its wind vibration. Apparently someone backed into me with a tail hitch. didn’t puncture hole but made it loose and broke the clips in the back of it. Took that plastic piece off and never Heard the noise again.

1 year update on the noise. Still doing it.
Things I've tried:
Fluid change
Tire rotation (Falken Wildpeak A/Ts)
Taped off air ports between bumper and headlights
GoPro'ed under the hood watching the fans relationship the sound- unrelated.

One thing I just thought about is taping off the weird open ended square tube that comes off the frame behind the tires.

The best I can explain the noise is like blowing across the opening on a soda bottle. That's why I'm chasing these "openings" in that area.

Mine was sounding the same. Let me know if you’re fixed it.

Have you check the front differential to see if there's metal in the fluid, I'm currently putting another differential in my 2015 started with a low hum and got louder over a year.

To me it sounds almost like it does when you have a ladder rack and have a ratchet strap tightened across the top and it hums when air passes it at higher speeds. Maybe it's not an engine problem if everyone with this vehicle is hearing the same noise. Maybe a faulty clip somewhere on the body that snapped and now air is passing through and causing the hum from a part of the body either lower or on the under part of the Maybe...

I have the same issue while decelerating/coasting from 120 km/h to 100 km/h. As soon as I step on the gas, it goes away. It doesn't do it at lower speeds, just between the 120 km/h and 100 km/h range. I changed the front and rear differential fluids, but it did not make a difference. I'll change the trans fluid next and see if that is the issue, does anyone know what could cause this?

Same thing, I have a feeling it’s the steering motor

I mean, you are at a slight high mileage I would start looking at driveshaft and differential I feel like a universal joint could easily make this sound at 60

mine was the front diff making that sound. if it is, go to an indy shop not ford. they charge too much.

I have the same truck only with a 6-inch lift and 35-inch tires. The noise is only heard from the drivers seat(You sit in the front passenger side, they can't hear it.) gets louder with rpm, starts at 25mph then dies at 40, then starts again at 50 to about 65ish. It's not the tires, They are brand new. Not the lift. I also used a "GoPro" camera to isolate the noise, with no luck yet. I noticed the noise when I replaced the water pump. It completely died and antifreeze went everywhere.

I replaced my front drivers side wheel bearing too, thinking that was it... Nope.

I'm still trying to figure it out. Very annoying! I have 86K on the truck.

Oh and it's not the Tow mirrors, I have them too. I also have the Raptor grill, Bushwacker fender flares and an AEM cold air intake... It's not any of this either.

I did recently replace both foglights housings with Morimotos, Maybe I'll block that with tape an see.
