I would actually favour maul. He had more strength in the force and his lightsaber form would counter dookus. Maul was also one of the few force users who could contend with sidious, even briefly

Legends TPM Maul against Legends TPM Jedi Master Dooku there was many sources that outright said that Dooku even at that point was way more powerful then Maul with the force and better at force combat even as a nine year old being the only student Yoda put some effort into beating in a one on one force arm wrestle even better he was noted to have a near equal or eqaul potential to Yoda or heavily implicated to it while Mauls count in Legends was nowhere near even Windu but was miles higher then Asajj Ventress who herself was highly potted so Maul was still high potentialed jn his own right NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING A WEAKLING FORCE POTENTIAL WISE plus a verses section in Legends said DOOKUS MAIN ADVANTAGE OVER MAUL BY A WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY ABOVE AVERAGE MARGAIN IN THE FORCE something Dooku clearly had over Maul as a Jedi Master and even more overkill as a dark sider even predating ATOC by five years THAT VERSES ROWING SAID THAT MAULS MAJOR WEAKNESS WAS HIM NOT HAVING A ADVANTAGE OF THE FORCE BE IT IN POTENTIAL, CURRENT POWER LEVELS, MASTERY, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, PRACTIVE, REFINEMENT, HONING, ETC YEAH.

Darth Maul destroyed venator single-handedly

Nah this is cap in my opinion, Darth maul was already able to hold his own against sidious and was close to overpowering him at one point not to mention he's also strong in the force since he was using it to survive as he fell down when he was cut in half by obi wan, meanwhile count dooku got overpowered by beings like savage opress who darth maul defeated in less than 10 seconds, this one goes to darth maul in my opinion and hell even if dooku was already stronger than him, if he killed savage its over maul will destroy him
