in this short video i'm going to highlight the definition of halal meat according to the law of the land and what it really means to a practicing muslim in the uk stay tuned.

when one mentions the word halal it is often associated with religious slaughter of animals for muslims as per religious dietary requirements in fact halal is a common bond and a way of life for muslims across the world.

and when it comes to food preparation and consumption halal is defined as food fit for human consumption which can be translated to food safety encompassing food hygiene rules and regulations in the uk the english law is clear and definitive.

for meat to be halal or kosher in that case it has to be processed religiously for both muslims and jews in the prophetic method of non mechanical stun known as the islamic and the jewish humane process for animals destined for the halal and kosher market.

the definition of religious slaughter in english law and the law that governs slaughter of animals is clear religious slaughter is defined as slaughter without any form of mechanical stunning.

it is no business of enforcement agencies as to whether the meat is halal or haram what is their business is to ensure that the meat destined for the religious communities meets the legal definition of religious slaughter according to the law of the land made processed in any other method other than the religious slaughter cannot be deemed as halal.
