Summary

In this episode of the Keto Pro Podcast, Richard Smith chats with his good friend, a titan within the nutritional world, Ivor Cummins to discuss the misconceptions surrounding dietary saturated fat and cholesterol. They explore the historical context of cholesterol research, the importance of understanding cholesterol numbers, and the detrimental effects of certain dietary choices, particularly the 'Devil's Triad' of sugars, refined grains, and vegetable oils. The conversation also delves into the psychological aspects of health, emphasizing the need for mental resilience and the power of positive thinking in achieving health goals.

I think Richard’s knowledge is superior to the others I listen to. I hold what he teaches in high esteem.

Ivor saved/changed my life back in 2018. Because of him I got a CAC scan that turned out to be 1800! After that I changed everything and am still on course to this day. I am forever grateful.

💔 Richard. Sorry to hear about the distance this way of eating has caused in your family. You look so much better now than before, they can see that firsthand and you're so knowledgeable. And anything you say will be all because you want to help. Difficult

I don't say anything to friends with children because that's too much of a delicate area, but it's so hard watching friends give their children apple juice, fruit yogurts, crackers thinking it's all good stuff, then their kids zooming around, misbehaving and one with suspected autism

Just wanted to say I appreciate you and what you do!

Great video and always a pleasure to hear Ivor Cummins talk.

One thing I did want to ask Richard is one of my favourite interviews of your is with Prof Tim Noakes. In that interview he hinted on new research into blood glucose with Dr Philip Prins that they were shortly to publish.

I understand that this now has been published in the ladt few days but is behind a pay wall. I wondered if it might be possible for you to set up another interview with Prof Noakes to explain their findings?

Something to consider. I only found this video because it popped up as a YT suggestion because of other videos I watch. Perhaps if you change the name of your channel to include something which provides more information about what your channel is, ie not just your name, might help your videos to get more views. I think it was the word cholesterol in the video title which triggered the suggestion due to the algorithm. Now I'm going to check out to see what other videos you have.
