I've talked to number of software engineers, developers, system/network/cloud admins and data analysts. It seems that not a single one of them is worried about their job due to rise of AI. The only places where I'm stumbling upon people saying that AI will replace all Tech people are YT and Reddit.

Transportation, healthcare, software development etc. I am in the camp Tiff that there are many ethical issues that we have to come to terms with. I see many opport in cybersecuritty as AI rolls out. Will if influence digital marketing, yup. The larger question without the hype is how much personalization. There is a business cycle that deals with the hype. We get really excited then back to normal. Losing your job in your 20 30 40 etc is going to a very hard reality when bills come due. I totally agree with you that AI will help in software development. To me, it is a tool. Nothing more. At the end of the day Tiff, love technology as a tool. It will never replace human beings. Keep up the good work. Your content is practical and solid.

whatever the reality of AI deployment and integration in society, I think it's great to have these types of videos because it is a record of cogent opinions by an expert in the tech industry.

Me, I am expecting that like a lot of other technology on the brink of widespread adoption, AI will cause changes and opportunities that we never predicted, and of course, some we did.

We know AI models (gpt, llama, etc...) will really boost our experience as developers, currently since still have issues with private code (case Italy, Samsung, etc...) probably won't see soon an AI that can automatize almost all (code, test, release and deploy) so for the moment I think we're safe.
For moment I'm excited about these technologies, good toys to be entertained.

I believe that there will be an increase of demand for services/applications that DON'T spread personal data to third parties. It has also come to my knowledge that companies forbid their developers to use AI in their work. They realize that the very moment you use this you are in fact spreading your code to a third party. This is very hard to sell to a costumer. They pay you for making code that belong to them and no one else.

The misconception is that everyone uses these tools, but that's not true. startups and existing engineers will use AI technologies to integrate machine learning, CI/CD, etc.. they will build their own tools. I have been using Cuda for at least a few months now before chatGPT has even become a thing yet. 😅
