Sask. Premier Scott Moe releases report on 'destructive' policies of Trudeau government | FULL

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe said his government is taking steps to “protect Saskatchewan’s families, businesses and jobs from destructive federal policies.”

The premier discussed the release of the policy paper during a fireside chat on Tuesday afternoon.

Moe said analysis from his Ministry of Finance say nine different climate change policies could cost the province’s economy $111 billion by 2035.

The policy paper, called “Drawing the Line: Defending Saskatchewan’s Economic Autonomy,” considers policy options to the “federal government’s intrusions.”

“The situation has been exacerbated in recent years by the current federal government’s continued interference in the province’s jurisdiction over natural resources under the guise of federal environmental regulation,” Moe said.

It seems like we have some provinces with leaders who have discovered their backbone and it is a good thing to see. To stand up to this Liberal govt and its federal policies that have been breathing down the backs of Canadians with what appears to be no regard for the impact that it has on the people is no small thing and again a very welcome position for Manitoba, Sask and AB to be taking. I do hope that more and more provinces will take this Liberal govt to task on all and every issue that Premier Mo and the others are taking a stand on and for. It is like he said if the we do not take care of ourselves here in the provinces and Canada as a whole, somebody else will do it for us. Not taking a stand is not an option. Thank you Premier Mo!

Advice to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, take a leave out of Quebec’s book and ignore Ottawa, time to govern yourself same as Quebec does.
Your better off with your own Policies than that of Trudeau. Throw in the treath of separation and you will get more attention like Quebec does.

Premier Moe always speaks with clarity, integrity and accountability. Alberta and Saskatchewan are so different from the Eastern provinces. Their challenges are very different and consequently these challenges should be protected within the constitution. Year after year these two Western provinces have been treated unfairly by the Liberal government, who are only interested in what monetary value they can take for themselves with little concern over the security of these two provinces. It is time for the Eastern elites to step back and let these two provinces control their own natural resources and define their future prosperity. Imagine the benefit that these provinces would sustain they were able to retain one half of the money that they give to Ottawa, only to have Ottawa continuously snub the West.
