No joke, the first time I watched anime unironically my Dad left to visit my sick grandma and when I finished the series I was watching, I put it upon myself to not continue down this path and my Dad came home a few days after.
Edit: I have failed. My entire family left me this time to live with my aunt and uncle for vacation and I'm watching anime on their tv rn. Promise I'll stop when I get home.
