I lived on a junk food diet for most of my life as my mom didn't really care what I ate and dad wasn't around. I hit nearly 400 pounds when this became a problem for me and I turned the ship around. I'm down to 260 right now and still going down, but I definitely fear it did long-term damage to my heart. I encourage anyone to go see a nutritionist, even if they think their eating habits are fine. 90% of us could stand to eat a little healthier these days.

Also, as a kid I wouldn't go to the toilet in public restrooms or outhouses so I can definitely recall holding it for upwards of a week, but over a month? That's insane! Talk about loose bowls after that one.

My grandfather knew a Japanese man who survived one of the nuclear detonations (I don’t remember which). At basically ground zero. He hid under his desk when the air-raid sirens started, and the blast happened above his factory. He was shielded from the initial blast and ended up surviving the radiation poisoning he got. He lived a good 30-40 some years after that.
