We have a dual processor server with 56 cores both.
We installed windows server 2022 for 56 cores.
When we request a price proposal for sql server 2022 enterprise with SA for 56 cores the bill come with a very high price that the customer reject immediately.
Is there any possibility to license only 24 cores from this server for sql server?

Their licensing program is simple….; if you have lots of cores, and need Enterprise SQL, come back when you have about an extra $400k-$500K!

I am guessing if your video is a bait to generate more business then great job but if you tried to explain mssql server licensing then that did not happen in your video.
