Intel allegedly arriving with some 288 core behemoth CPUs in the next year or so; can't wait to see the cost of licensing SQL Enterprise on a dual socket so equipped!!!! (WIll cost 9x as much as server itself!)

How to buy a perpetual license (paid over a fixed term and perpetual license ownership) as opposed to the licensing model where you pay an annual cost indefinitely?

I have a Problem that you can not purchase a sql server 2016 nowadays, its only sql 2022 that u can purchase now.. my aim is to license a current sql 2016 thats up and running, how can we acheive that
Is purchasing SQL server 2022 + software assurance can have downgrade rights to license 2016 SQL
