I hope this is useful for newer players as well as anyone coming off a break looking for a refresher. This video focuses on some of the fundamentals of rolling survivors for a fresh community. I'm trying to boil it down to the most meaningful elements as well as lay the groundwork for min-maxing with a couple web resources.
This is by no means comprehensive- I don't talk about every single trait or good combo- that would make for a much longer video. Attention spans these days... ;)
My personal likes for 5th skill (in no particular order)
Quirks
Hygiene (community plague resist/health)
Lichenology (garden/herb/ +2 meds)
Sewing (+1 stack size/+10 community health/Craftsmanship)
Actual skills- once you're up and running
Pathology-medicine spec (community plague resist)
Programming- computers spec (mainly for drone strikes and comps for CC outpost)
Also good
Recycling (+2 mats/+25 parts per day)
Automechanic- mechanic spec (car upgrades with auto shop- car stealth)
Early-mid game skills for energy drinks/fuel bombs
Chemistry+Cooking+kitchen+water for energy drinks
Chemistry also increases fuel bomb production
Pharmacology (chem spec) reduces chemicals needed to produce energy drinks
Chemistry removes the 2 fuel cost of traps
Munitions (chem spec) doubles duration of traps
Also I forgot to mention in the video that I always welcome feedback and suggestions. Whether it's something I missed or something you're interested in seeing more of, just let me know!
