So, for everyone that want to pierce their ears themselves I have some advice. I've pierced my friends ears 6 times and belly button 2 times. I always use disposable cannula/peripheral venous catheter, it's most sterile thing you can get very cheap. 0.9mm is usually enough, if you have thicker earrings use 1.1mm. I don't have any piercing forceps so I use big paper clip (I put ear lobe in between those two wire parts, I don't pinch ear with a clip, I only hold it). I sterilise everything with ethanol, mark the spot, pierce, pull the needle out (only needle, plastic part must stay in), cut the plastic part so only tube stays so you can put earring it the tube. Then you pull the tube from behind and close earring. And you're done. It doesn't even really hurt and take a minute, literally

Don’t ice your ears or whatever you’re piercing because sure it might numb it but it makes it way harder to push through the cartilage because the cartilage will harden once it’s cold

I was so glad you weren’t using a low quality earring because when i got my first 2 piercings i was “allergic” to the metal and got really bad infections that lasted for month’s.

Had mine done professionally first.
Holes closed up after a few weeks.
Mom then had our at the time neighbors re pierce my ears.not knowing the equipment was not properly maintained.
I got a horrific infection and am now deaf as a result.so, please be real careful

YALL I DID MY FIRSTS W A SAFETY PIN THIS MORNING AFTER WATCHING THIS LAST NIGHT... I BOILED THE SAFETY PIN FOR 10 MINUTES AND STERILIZED IT WITH 70% ALCOHOL AS WELL AS THE EARRINGS. ill let u all know how it heals!! i just used ice and no vaseline and it did hurt a bit but not too bad! it took me a couple diff tries to get the safety pin through but i got it eventually! so far they r all good!!

What I did with mine at home. Is I kinda like twist and push. And that took 3 hours of non stop twist and push. And after I got it in. I got in an infection. So I think it’s better to have a professional pierce your ear
