if you want to get your ears pierced i highly recommend avoiding places like claire's where they use piercing guns. piercing guns are not sharp at the ends, its basically the back of the earring, so it's gonna result in some trauma to the ear since it tears through your ears. needles on the other hand, are sharp, go in smoothly, and are less painful (still gonna hurt). they also have faster healing times too where as a gun has a longer healing time. if you wanna get your ear or any part of your body pierced, please go to tattoo parlors or piercing clinics. 💛

I got my ear pierced today using this method. It did hurt a little, about the same as getting blood taken by needle. But the pain disappears very quickly. I've heard horror stories about piercing guns and am glad I went for the needle method

I had my ears pierced here with the exact same way, earring… and it DIDNT hurt at all and it healed fast while the gun piercing took 8 WEEKS to heal while this only took 4 to *FULLY* heal

Needles, just like a vaccination or injection, they're the best option because it barely hurts on your arm, and if you have much experience. You might not feel alot of pain when piercing your ear (depends on how many piercings you have), it just causes you to get used to the pain. But do not go to Claire's for a piercing, they use piercing guns, although it's cheaper, it's unreliable. It can cause inflammation and infrctions that can irritate the skin. I recommend using needles.

I had my ears done with a needle.
No pain whatsoever!
Only a pinch then some throbbing for 5 minutes after!
I did pass out though because I have a fear of needles.
Needles also have a less chance of getting your ear infected!
Needles are the safest option!

If you are scared got both mines done today same way told the lady only one now and if it doesn't hurt ill do the other 😅 it doesn't hurt only be ready for an insert with something when it goes in it's a tiny pinch goes in feels cold if they used sterilization feeling goes away after 1 second than another tinier pinch when they slide the tube thing back but it's all done so quick you won't notice it and will only want to be looking at your new jewelry😮

My left lobe healed in like 3 months, but my right lobe has been redone once and still after a year it hasnt fully healed. Doesnt hurt, but whenever i switch earings for the day it is clearly stull unhealed. Its annoying af so most of the time i just leave in my basic surgical steele studs. Or just change my left piercing. It sucks. I may try titanium or white gold to see if those react better with that ear.

When I got my ears pierced as a kid they did it with a gun. I can’t believe the person who did it said to turn my piercing everyday so that it “doesn’t stick” 😣 Of course I ended up with an infected and it closed up! Do not touch your piercing while it is healing!

edit: got it done a few days ago in both lobes and feels just like an injection, only hurts when the jewellery goes it but overall no pain after a couple hours
